Here's a brilliant Easter book for little ones. A Very Happy Easter by Tim Thornborough uses facial expressions to help tell the story. It will draw you and your child, or those you work with, into the emotions of the main events of the Easter account in a meaningful way, that is relevant to pre-schoolers and infants.
The account is sensitively told, being true to the sadness, confusion and joy that the death and resurrection of Christ entails. Plus the illustrations are so wonderful - they are vibrant and inclusive, focussing in on the emotions associated with the events.
This is a really useful, interactive resource for a pre-school session or toddler group seeking to communicate the truth about Jesus' death and resurrection to their families. I have used it many times in the Toddler Group I run, with families of all faiths and none.
Perfect for ages 0-4. A great gift to give away at this time of year. There are generous bulk discounts via The Good Book Company's website: Bulk Buys
This book is a bit different from others... You will see the faces of lots of people who were there at the first Easter when Jesus died and rose again. Every time you see one, try to copy the face they are making, and think about how they would have felt...
