Explore the wrapping paper and ribbons with your younger child. Talk about the textures and colours together.
Involve your older child in wrapping up gifts for others in the run up to Christmas or for a birthday. Talk about the person the gift is for and how special they are to you.
Wonder about gifts together: why do we give them? What do they mean? How do you feel when you receive or give a gift?
Think about God's gift of Jesus to us: God so loved us that He gave Jesus! Why is Jesus a gift? Why is He special? What do you think it meant to God to give His son? Wonder together.
Be Thankful for Jesus. Pray simple prayers of thanks. Talk about the generosity of God and seek to grow in this yourselves too. Find ways to be kind and giving this week.
Salvation Check: Do you believe in Jesus? Have you said YES to His invitation of friendship and love?
